My greatest day ever

Me in my Sweet Sixteen Birthday!



                  I imagined about my Sweet Sixteenth Birthday. I wondered if I'd have a sixteen birthday party or just go on vacation with my friends,but it wasn't untill March,2011 found it.


                My mother decided to plan what would be an amazing sweet sixteenth. Mom is a creative party planner and florist. She took on the task by herself, and I served as a little helper. I never realized how much goes into planning a party until we started planning for my great day. The first of many steps was to find a place or hall where my sixteenth birthday party was going to be held. My parents didn't have a lot of money. I decided to help them out by searching some affordable places. Once, one of my closest friends told me about this boat-club called "La Rumba". I told my mother about it. Then, on the next day my mother and I went to "My Old San Juan" in order to investigate about the boat-club's prices. "La Rumba" boat-club was affordable enough. It had everything my parents and I wanted with beautiful lights, a beautiful view, a lot of space, great drinks, and the most important thing it was a reasonable price. When I walked inside the boat-club, the atmosphere gave me vibes that made me feel as if everything would to be flawless.

             There were days, my mother and I went to many shop stores to get different ideas of what theme I would enjoy the most. Both of us bought all the birthday supplies. My parents bought me a gorgeous small dress for the occasion. The dress was a deep pink color with a bright fabric, and there were  little roses shape on it. I was so happy and nervous about my party. Time was flying so quickly. We had two weeks left for my birthday, and not all the things were bought it. During a week and a half, finally, my parents  bought what was missing for the great day. They decided to just invite ten of my closer friends from school, and a couple of their friends as well. My mother came up with the idea to make sparkly and colorful envelops for invitations.

             The day had finally come. My joys were written on my face. The event took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico. My invited friends were all gathered together by the time I got over there in front of 'La Rumba'. In addition, one of my friends came up out of the blue with a little sprinkle chocolate cupcake in his hand. I was really surprised with such of a creative and unique idea. The theme and rest of the decoration were amazing. There were many colorful glitter balloons, a huge ice cream cake with frosty on it, and a little sixteen birthday doll. Also, there were a bunch of gifts from all the invited people. We all had fun. We were all laughing, dancing, talking. No doubts it was an amazing night.

            Since that day I've could not explain the assortment of wonderful feelings. Those unpredictable moments really made me feel alive. "Life is not measure by numbers of breaths, but by the moment that take our breath away".
